Well if you have the guts to try animation some more, then I got some tips for yous: 1) Longer distance = more power: If he cocked back his sword until it's all the way behind his back, it'd be more convincing that he will do damage. 2) Charging up followed by fast swing = even more power: If he took a couple frames to charge up his swing, and swung near instantaneously, it'd look powerful as hell. In fact, the swing itself should be so fast that all you would see is his sword cocked back and the next frame being his sword already in front, with just the streak indicating that he slashed. 3) Visual aid: [link] Here's what I showed ~callme-Nobodi for his character, Jarek.
